Bibione: between yesterday and today
Bibione’s fascinating history dates back to ancient times and is intricately woven with the history of the Adriatic Sea due to its strategic position nestled between the sea and the Tagliamento River. Over the centuries, it has been home to many peoples, including the ancient Venetians and Romans, who reclaimed and reshaped the land. Later, in the 1950s, the construction of the first tourist facilities marked the beginning of Bibione’s journey towards becoming a world-renowned holiday destination.
