We will briefly tell you what the different shows consist of:
Marée Noire / Green Area along the beach – Via Rigel, Lido dei Pini
The show tells of 4 women who find themselves in a shocked future: their world has gone up in flames, but a crane has remained, majestic and surviving. Like an oil spill (the black spill / Marée Noire, in fact) that ends up on a beach, these women cling to what they can: their past sticks to their skin, but they have a world to leave and one to redo, and will this crane help them rebuild it without demolishing? In a post-apocalyptic scenario, they question their future: they live, enraged, they free themselves from their chains, to better imagine it.
With live music, contortions, trapeze evolutions at high altitude, with a construction crane that turns 360°.
The performer of the show is the female company La Burrasca, founded in 2015 by Alexia Fremaux and Viola Grazioli, to which other artists have gradually been added.
League And Legend / Piazzale Adriatico – Lido del Sole
League & Legend is an ode to creativity, a mix of acrobatics, flips and adrenaline, with a pinch of competition too: pole-vault poles are transformed into Russian bars, which are tools used in the circus to throw in air artists up to a height of 7 meters. The protagonists are the 15Ft6, a circus company born in Belgium in 2012.
Maiador / Municipal Park in Viale dei Ginepri – Bibione Pineda
What does “Maiador” mean: it is an expression of the north-eastern Brazilian countryside that means “the flat place where the cattle rest”, that is, that shadow in the middle of the pasture where the cattle take refuge and rest during the hottest hours of the day. By extension, this show is intended to represent a moment of refuge and meeting in the midst of everyday life, through the union of acrobatics, music and contemporary Brazilian dance. The audience is a fundamental part of the show, as it frames the “roda” (= dance).
The executor is the Delá Praká Company, which was born in 2007 in Rio de Janeiro and develops its own language starting from dance, acrobatics and gestures influenced by capoeira, the Brazilian struggle characterized by acrobatics, songs and music.
