Over Borders Half Marathon 2026

On Sunday, 4th October 2026, get ready to experience a breathtaking run along the Adriatic coast: the 3rd edition of the Over Borders Half Marathon is back! This official FIDAL road race covers the classic distance of 21.097 km, connecting Veneto and Friuli-Venezia Giulia along one single scenic route.

Following the success of previous editions, this year the race returns to its original course starting from Lignano Sabbiadoro and finishing in the heart of Bibione in Piazza Fontana.

It is an unmissable opportunity to challenge yourself, test your limits, or simply enjoy running immersed in the beauty of the landscape—among lush pine forests, river views, and the sea breeze.

A scenic route across two regions

Organized by A.S.D. Running Team Conegliano, the event features a flat and fast course—ideal both for runners aiming to beat their personal record and for enthusiasts looking to close out the running season in a unique natural setting.

Runners will set off from the Bella Italia EFA Village (Lungomare Adriatico) in Lignano Sabbiadoro, passing through coastal pine forests and running alongside the Tagliamento River, before crossing into the Veneto region to cross the finish line in the beating heart of Bibione, in Piazza Fontana.

Race schedule & timetable

• Meeting point: 07:30 AM at Bella Italia EFA Village – Lignano Sabbiadoro
• Race Start: 09:45 AM (Lignano Sabbiadoro)
• Finish Line: Piazza Fontana (Bibione)
• Award Ceremony: From 12:00 PM onwards at the finish area in Bibione

N.B. The race will take place in any weather conditions.

Logistics & shuttle bus service

To ensure a smooth and worry-free experience for all athletes and supporters, the organizers provide a shuttle bus service both before and after the race:

• Pre-race (Bibione -> Lignano): Dedicated shuttle buses on Sunday morning from 7:00 AM to 8:45 AM, departing from Bibione to comfortably reach the starting area in Lignano Sabbiadoro.
• Post-race (Bibione -> Lignano): Return shuttle buses from Bibione (Piazzale Luna Park) to Lignano active at the end of the event (starting from 12:15 PM).

Whether you decide to arrive the night before to prepare for the race stress-free or stay after crossing the finish line to recharge your batteries, Bibione is the perfect base for your active beach weekend.

• The night before (Saturday, 3rd October): Staying in Bibione means waking up just a stone’s throw from the finish line, hopping on the morning shuttle without parking hassles, and focusing entirely on your run.
• The night after (Sunday, 4th October): Once you cross the finish line in Piazza Fontana, fatigue gives way to pure relaxation. Staying an extra night allows you to take your time taking a shower, celebrate your medal at local restaurants, and treat yourself to a day at Bibione Thermae or a refreshing beach walk before heading home.
