From 12th March to 3rd July 2022, it will be possible to visit the exhibition “L’arte della fisica – da Luigi Russolo a Renzo Bergamo” (= The art of physics – from Luigi Russolo to Renzo Bergamo) in Portogruaro.

It is an exhibition with a very original formula based on the relationship between Art and Science, with paths that will allow an immersive and multisensory visit experience that relates the art of Luigi Russolo (1885-1947) and that of Renzo Bergamo (1934-2004).

path of lights and videos will tell the link between Luigi Russolofuturist composer and reckless musician, and Renzo Bergamowell-known visionary painter and researcher of a new language between science and pictorial art, born in Portogruaro and now present for the first time with over 90 works.

The main venue of the exhibition will be the Palazzo Vescovile (Bishop’s Palace), but the exhibition itinerary will also touch the Sala delle Colonne of the Portogruaro Town Hall, the foyer of the “L. Russolo” Theatre and the “Space Mazzini” exhibition rooms in Lugugnana.

The opening hours of the exhibition at the Bishop’s Palace are as follows:

  • from Tuesday to Thursday 14:30-18:30
  • Friday 14:30-19:30
  • Saturday, Sunday and holidays 10:00-19:00
  • Monday: closed.

(For groups and school groups, guided tours by appointment with extraordinary openings in the morning and on Monday, possibility to organize tours and visits also in a foreign languagedidactic and educational activities).

  • Full admission Euro 10,00
  • Reduced admission Euro 8,00
  • Underage students and school groups Euro 5,00
  • Free for children up to 5 years, disabled people + 1 companion

Info and reservations:

The exhibition is organized by the Distretto Turistico Venezia Orientale (Eastern Venice Tourist District), with the proposal and contribution of the Municipality of Portogruaro, Banca Prealpi SanBiagio and other sponsoring companies in the area. It was curated by the art critic Roberta Semeraro, with the participation of the Renzo Bergamo Archive and Association for Art and Science and the RO.SA.M. Cultural Association, with the collaboration and testimony of the artist’s widow, Caterina Arancio Bergamo. The great scenography of the staging at the Palazzo Vescovile are by the video artist Marco Agostinelli.

It is a very important cultural event for the City on the Lemene, a tribute to two characters to whom it gave birth and who anticipated the times with the strength of their Art.
