On Saturday, 21st October 2023 at 3:30 pm on Piazzale Zenith the Bibione Island Race will be held, a race of about 42 km over two laps, to be covered by mountain bike.
Organized by the Bibione Bike group and the Polisportiva Bibione under the aegis of FCI (Italian Cycling Federation), it wants to make bikers experience the evocative scenery of the locality: from the shore to Valgrande and Vallesina, from the Tagliamento River embankment to the Lighthouse, to single tracks in the woods.
The route does not present significant technical difficulties and can be seen here; there are adequately marked refreshment points, and the maximum time to complete the race is 4 hours.
Here is the program for the day:
- 12 pm – opening of the race office / Piazzale Zenith
- 12-3 pm – check cards and collect race numbers
- 2:45 pm – technical briefing
- 3:15 pm – entrance to starting grids
- 3:30-6:30 pm – Bibione Island Race
- 6:30 pm – pasta party and prizegiving
- 7 pm – closing party.
Online registration is open; FCI registered athletes must also proceed with the registration through the Kfactor federal portal with the Competition Code 168820. All athletes aged 17 and over duly registered with FCI (or affiliated entities), both men and women, can participate; a certificate of competitive medical-sports fitness for cycling is required. Athletes will be divided into various categories, between agonists and amateurs.
