Bibione gets ready for a weekend of running and celebration: the Half Marathon – 10th edition and the Diecimila del Faro – 3rd edition are back.
Nestled between the Adriatic Sea and its lush pine forest, Bibione is once again set to become the capital of running. On 9th and 10th May 2026, the Venetian seaside resort will host an entire weekend dedicated to running, featuring the famous Bibione Half Marathon and the exciting Diecimila del Faro.
Two days of sport, fun, and passion that will attract thousands of athletes, amateurs, and families, ready to enjoy an unforgettable experience in a natural setting of rare beauty. The event, organized by Moving Factory SSD, promises to be impeccable, building on the success of past editions.
Diecimila del Faro: A sunset race with unique charm
Kicking off the events on Saturday, 9th May 2026, will be the Diecimila del Faro, a competitive 10 km FIDAL-approved race open to registered adult members. The fast and scenic route will wind through the city streets, the cool pine forest, and the new stretch of cycle path, with a stunning passage next to Bibione’s iconic lighthouse. The start, scheduled for the late afternoon, will offer participants the thrill of running enveloped in the warm glow of sunset, an atmosphere that makes this race a truly unmissable event.
The Bibione Fun – 10K, a non-competitive version of the same distance, will take place at the same time. It is open to everyone aged 14 and over who wants to enjoy a run in a cheerful atmosphere, without the pressure of the clock.
Bibione Half Marathon: The queen of Sunday
Sunday, 10th May 2026, will be the day of the main event, the Bibione Half Marathon. The international half marathon, also on a FIDAL-approved course, will see top-level athletes and passionate amateurs alike take on the 21.097 km of a route that truly showcases the beauty of Bibione.
The start and finish lines are set in Piazzale Zenith, the heart of the event, which will be transformed into a lively sports village for the occasion. The course, mostly flat and therefore ideal for those aiming for a personal best, will offer a fascinating mix of asphalt and short gravel sections within the pine forest, ensuring a varied and never monotonous run. The stretch along the seafront, with the cheers of the crowd, will be one of the most exciting moments of the race.
Refreshment and sponging stations will be positioned along the course; at the finish line, a refreshment area will offer food and other provisions. Likewise, there will be safety points and medical assistance with healthcare personnel.
Prizes will be awarded to the top 5 men and top 5 women in the overall classification; furthermore, in each category, the top 3 finishers will be awarded, as well as the top 3 groups with the most classified runners.
An event for everyone: Not just running
The Bibione Half Marathon and the Diecimila del Faro are not just competitive events, but a true celebration of sport and well-being. The expo village in Piazzale Zenith will be the meeting point for athletes and visitors, with stands from specialized companies, side events, and entertainment.
Great attention will also be given to the youngest participants with the Kids Run, a race designed for children to be held on Saturday afternoon, to introduce the new generations to the world of running in an atmosphere of joy and fun. Saturday evening will also be enlivened by a DJ set, to celebrate together at the end of the Diecimila del Faro.
