Portogruaro (Ve)

From 26th August to 16th September 2026, Portogruaro (Venice) will host the 44th edition of the International Music Festival, which for 2026 will be themed “Consonanze” (“Consonances”): the Festival embraces the blend of classical experiences, contemporary perspectives, and modern reinterpretations. Music, envisioned as a journey and a path to follow, becomes a medium to engage the audience, evoke deep emotions, and redefine the boundaries of classical music, exploring in particular its intersections with jazz, opera, and electronic music. Il programma intreccerà il talento di grandi nomi della musica classica, del jazz e del pop, in un omaggio ai protagonisti che hanno segnato il passato e a quelli che definiscono il presente.

The festival lineup will be exceptionally rich, featuring leading artists from the contemporary music scene who will headline an event that not only celebrates tradition, but also renews it and projects it into the future. Names such as Dardust, Paolo Fresu, Emmanuel Pahud, and the RAI National Symphony Orchestra will guarantee excellence and success. There will also be numerous preview events under the “Aspettando il Festival” (Waiting for the Festival) banner, starting with an extraordinary concert on 20th June, followed by events from 22nd July to 24th August in Portogruaro and neighbouring East Venetian locations, as well as the traditional “Dopo il Festival” (After the Festival) with two final events on 17th and 25th September.

The artistic direction is once again led by Alessandro Taverna, an internationally acclaimed pianist and a figure of undeniable cultural depth.
