Bibione is ready to roar to the sound of engines for the highly anticipated Bibione Sand Storm, an international motorcycle and quad event on the sand, taking place from 24th to 26th October 2025. Now in its second edition, the event will transform the beach area of Piazzale Zenith into an 8-kilometer adrenaline-fueled track, ready to host professional and amateur riders from all over Europe. The course, which will not change from the previous edition, has proven to offer a perfect combination of safety, visibility, and spectacular action for both riders and the public.

The event is becoming a must-attend event in the world of sand racing and aims to promote the seaside resort even in the off-season. In addition to being a celebration for enthusiasts, the Bibione Sand Storm will be the fourth and decisive round of the FIM Sand Race World Cup, attracting an international audience.

Admission is completely free, offering thousands of spectators the opportunity to experience the adrenaline of the races and the unique atmosphere of an event that combines sport, entertainment, and solidarity.

New Features and Highlights of the 2025 Edition

The Bibione Sand Storm 2025 introduces important new features to enhance the experience for all participants:

  • Food and Entertainment Area: The food area will be redesigned to create a central courtyard that serves as a gathering space. The culinary offerings will be expanded with a greater variety of options. This new layout will also include a stage for music and evening entertainment.
  • Unique Experiences: The unique experiences of panoramic helicopter flights and the Ferris wheel are confirmed, offering breathtaking views of the event and the coastline.
  • Social Commitment: The event will maintain and strengthen its commitment to inclusivity, ensuring accessible areas for people with disabilities with dedicated spots to watch the race and shows in safety and comfort. The “family-friendly” areas will also be further developed.

Detailed Program

The three-day program will be packed and varied:

Friday, 24th October

  • Morning:
    • 9:00-11:00 am Baby Run in Piazza Fontana (reserved for preschools in the Municipality of San Michele al Tagliamento). Awards ceremony by six-time world motocross champion Kiara Fontanesi.
    • 12:00 pm Village opening with greetings from the mayor and street food opening – Piazzale Zenith
  • All Day: Technical inspections and registrations for motorcycles and quads at Piazzale Zenith.
  • Evening: 8:30 pm Presentation of the International Teams of the Bibione Sand Storm races – Piazza Fontana

Saturday, 25th October – Piazzale Zenith

  • Morning: At 10:00 am, ribbon cutting with mayor and authorities. From 10:30 am to 12:00 pm, start and Race 1 for motorcycles.
  • Afternoon:
    • 12:30-1:00 pm and 4:00-4:30 pm, freestyle show and Mototherapy with Vanni Oddera.
    • 1:00-2:00 pm Meeting and autograph signing with Kiara Fontanesi
    • 2:30-3:30 pm, start and Race 1 for quads
    • 5:00-6:00 pm Autograph signing with guest of honor Tony Cairoli
  • Evening:
    • 6:30-7:45 pm, qualifications for the Night Race.
    • 8:00-10:30 pm, the exciting Night Race
    • 10:30 pm Dj-set.

N.B.: Autograph sessions with the riders will be held at the end of each race in the merchandising area!

Sunday, 26th October – Piazzale Zenith

  • Morning:
    • 10:00-11:00 am, Race 2 for quads.
    • 11:00am-12:00 pm meeting and autograph signing with guest of honor Tony Cairoli
    • 12:00-1:00 pm, freestyle show with Vanni Oddera.
  • Afternoon:
    • 1:30-3:00 pm, Race 2 for motorcycles
    • 3:30-4:00 pm, freestyle show with Vanni Oddera
    • 4:00-5:00 pm Meeting and autograph signing with Kiara Fontanesi
  • Late Afternoon: At 5:00 pm, awards ceremony.
