As per tradition for all lovers of fishing and launching on the wave in particular, there will be again in 2020 Surfcasting competitions from the beach of Bibione on the following dates:
- Saturday, 5th September 2020 from 8 pm to midnight – Beach of Bibione Pineda
- Saturday, 19th September 2020 from 9 pm to midnight – Beach of Bibione Pineda
- Saturday, 10th October 2020 from 8 am to midday – Beach of Bibione Pineda.

What is Surfcasting: it is a type of sport fishing that is carried out from the beach, with sturdy rods, capable of throwing bait and lead at considerable distances from the shore – in fact the literal meaning of the term is “launch on the wave”. Born in the Atlantic Ocean and inserted from 1981 in the World Games, it is considered in Italy a competitive sport headed to the FIPSAS, the Italian Federation of Sport fishing and underwater activities.
