From 8th June to 23rd July from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. in the Exhibition Hall of Bibione Thermae the painting exhibition “Mare da Sognare” (Sea to be Dreamed) by Giovanni Centazzo will be held.

Moreover, in the evening of the 9th June at 6:30 p.m., in the same room the paintings will come to life thanks to the readings of various poets who will tell the author’s works.

The paintings by Giovanni Centazzo (1942-2017) are characterized by its land of origin, Friuli, and highlight his sense of belonging with a game of colours between the blue of the sea, the green and the yellow of the surrounding lagoon and the fishermen’s huts. All these nuances are recalled by various poets, who will reveal the painter’s sensibility through his works: a reading key that will help us to interpret the exhibition at best.

The readings of the poems will be interpreted by:

  • Roberto Iacovissi: a life between politics and culture, oriented, both one and the other, to the most passionate and complete dedication to Friuli.
  • Franco Romanin: local history lover.
  • Don Domenico Zannier (1930-2017) known and beloved priest, poet, literary and art critic, writer and translator, candidate for the NOBEL in 1986.

In 2017 the event comes to its now 18th edition, so demonstrating how much the production by Giovanni Centazzo is appreciated, and also his combination with written verses.
