The Music Festival of the Municipality of San Michele al Tagliamento

“ href=”https://www.facebook.com/TheFourSeasonsFestival/” target=”_blank” rel=”noopener noreferrer”>Four Seasons Festival”: this is the title of the Music Festival of the Municipality of San Michele al Tagliamento, a musical journey that begins in 2019 and ends in 2020 with a series of 3 concerts and a visual musical show for the four seasons (spring, summer, autumn and winter) and 5 additional “midseason” concerts.

This ambitious musical program will touch the entire municipal territory of San Michele al Tagliamento, with the Artistic Direction of Francesca Paola Geretto, who is lyric soprano and Artistic Director of the Viriditas Vocal Group.

Here is the complete calendar of appointments, all with free admission:

  • Saturday, 27th April 2019 at 8:45 pm, Parish Church of San Giorgio al Tagliamento – Spring: German romanticism for female choirs, with music by Franz Schubert, Johannes Brahms, Felix and Fanny Mendelssohn. Performers:
    • Ensemble Vocalia, female choir
    • Michela Mastro, piano
    • Sofia Masut, harp
    • Filippo Tramontana, horn
    • Filippo Tosolini, horn
    • M° Lucio Golino, conductor.
  • Tuesday, 25th June 2019 at 9:15 pm, Municipal Delegation (Via Maja 84, Bibione) – summer concert of midseason: concert with soundtracks by MovieSoundBrass, youth ensemble born from the collaboration with the award-winning Oscar M° Nello Salza, trumpeter of “La vita è bella” (Nicola Piovani), and “Hateful Eight” (Ennio Morricone). Their repertoire includes film music performed with all the available brass facets.
  • Wednesday, 10th July 2019 at 9:15 pm, Piazza Fontana – Summer: Slide & Friends on concert, with music going from classic genre to jazz.
  • Sunday, 22nd September 2019 at 5 pm, Church Sacro Cuore di Gesù, Terzo Bacino – summer concert of midseason: concert by the soloist of the Viriditas Vocal Group.
  • Thursday, 5th December 2019 at 4 pm, Church San Michele Arcangelo, San Michele al Tagliamento – Winter: Ring in the holidays: Concert about music of Benjamin Britten and Francis Poulenc.
  • Sunday, 15th December 2019 at 8:45 pm, Church Santa Maria del Soccorso, Bevazzana – autumn concert of midseason: meditations for harp and voice with music by Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach and unpublished works by Jacopo Tomadini. Performers: Psallere Voce, chamber music duo (M° Sofia Masut, harp and M° Valentino Pase, baritone).
  • Sunday, 23rd February 2020 at 4 pm, Church San Nicolò Vescovo, Cesarolo – winter concert of midseason: organ
  • Sunday, 26th April 2020 at 4 pm, Parish Church of San Giorgio al Tagliamento – spring concert of midseason: “Pulchra Es”, concert with Renaissance cornet and organ. THE EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO THE HEALTH EMERGENCY IN PROGRESS.
