The Beach of Bibione

The Beach of Bibione

A true paradise for sun and sea lovers, the wide, golden beach offers endless spaces to stretch out, play and enjoy unforgettable moments.

Beyond the sand and sea

Bibione’s beach has something for everyone. At 8 km long and over 300 metres wide, there is ample room for everyone. You can dive into the crystal-clear sea or lose yourself in a good book. You can stroll along the foreshore or try a new sport every day. Fun activities will keep your children entertained, while you make new friends by participating in Latin dance or fitness classes. The entertainment is free and offers a unique and enjoyable experience.
Bibione is divided into different areas to explore. Bibione Pineda is surrounded by a lush pine forest in a cool and verdant setting. It is the perfect spot for anyone seeking shade and relief from the heat. Lido del Sole, which is also surrounded by nature, exudes tranquillity and proves ideal for families with its summer entertainment program. Lido dei Pini boats a free beach stretching towards the lighthouse, providing a picturesque and diversified natural setting. Here, you can unwind in an enchanting environment, observing water birds and botanical wonders. Don’t miss out on seeing the Bibione lighthouse and participating in sporting activities along the bike path.
For dog owners, Pluto’s Beach is the place to go. This area allows your four-legged companies to swim and frolic in the sea. The establishment provides services dedicated to the well-being of dogs.
Book your accommodation conveniently through our online booking service and choose the area you wish to explore. Bibione awaits your arrival for an unforgettable holiday surrounded by pristine waters, lush nature and an abundance of sporting opportunities.

no-smoke

Inhale the sea!

Bibione was the first beach in Italy to set aside non-smoking areas: from the sea to the first row of beach umbrellas and in the stretch of shore hugging the Lighthouse, smoking is, in fact, prohibited. This applies, then, to all eight kilometres of the foreshore. This measure is mostly intended for the children, who, while playing in the clean sand, can also breath pure and healthy air.

Blue and Green Flags are flying

In May, Bibione and its beach were awarded their 25th Blue Flag and 1st Green Flag. The tourist area was once again recognized for its clean sea and its safe and well-equipped beach. In 2014, its EMAS Environmental Certification was also renewed, a sure sign of sustainable eco-tourism.

PDO Sand: pristine nature from the Dolomites to the Adriatic Sea

Bibione’s soft sand originated in the Friulian Dolomites and was carried here downstream of the waters of the Tagliamento River. This is why we call it 100% local and, with nothing artificially brought in from other areas, it is completely in harmony with the natural environment and its biodiversity. This is genuine ‘PDO sand’, to be protected and cherished along with the other vital elements that make up the ecosystem in the tourist area.

Bibione: the first smoke-free beach in Italy

Since 2019, Bibione has become the first Italian beach to be completely smoke-free. This is an important initiative to counteract the smoking emergency, providing a clean and healthy beach for children and a sea experience without harmful substances for all guests.
