For <strong>information <\/strong>and <strong>reservations<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>TVO \u2013 Turismo Venezia Orientale<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>+39 329 6655580<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"mailto:info@turismoveneziaorientale.it\">info@turismoveneziaorientale.it<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can call the TVO Staff on:<br>Tue, Wed, Fri, Sat: 10 am-5 pm<br>Thu: 10 am-1 pm<br>Sun: 10 am-3 pm<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One place that left an indelible mark in history is the&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.comunesanmichele.it\/bunker\">Cold War Bunker<\/a><\/strong>, located near the&nbsp;<strong>bridge on the Tagliamento<\/strong>, for the natural role of the river as \u201cobstacle\u201d and defense line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of the most recognized places of the historical past of San Michele is the\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.comunesanmichele.it\/villa-ivancich\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Villa Biaggini-Ivancich<\/a><\/strong>, built by the Venetian family of\u00a0<strong>Mocenigo<\/strong>\u00a0in\u00a0<strong>16th century<\/strong>. Passed into the hands of the Paduan\u00a0<strong>Biaggini<\/strong>\u00a0in\u00a0<strong>1870<\/strong>, it was transformed into a\u00a0<strong>field hospital<\/strong>\u00a0during the First World War, but it was\u00a0<strong>destroyed by the bombing<\/strong>\u00a0during the Second Conflict. Since the 1950s, the villa has passed into the hands of the current owners, the noble Venetian family of the Ivancich.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Villa Biaggini-Ivancich was also an important cultural centre, which has seen over the years the presence of people such as&nbsp;<strong>Ernest Hemingway<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Antonio Fogazzaro<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>Gabriele D\u2019Annunzio<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The guided tour continues towards the\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.comunesanmichele.it\/il-muro-della-storia\">Wall of History<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0in the town part called \u201c<strong>San Michele Vecchio<\/strong>\u201d: In Via Don Bosco, where once stood the\u00a0<strong>Parish church destroyed by the \u201944 bombing<\/strong>, some\u00a0<strong>panels<\/strong>\u00a0have been placed that retrace the vicissitudes of this territory so marked by both conflicts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Do not forget the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.comunesanmichele.it\/cimiterodiguerra\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Austro-Hungarian cemetery<\/a>, a sacred place dedicated to the&nbsp;<strong>victims of the retreat of the Piave in October 1917<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>N.B.<\/strong><br>The external area of the bunker (park near the bridge over the Tagliamento river), the Austro-Hungarian war cemetery (Via Agnolina) and the Wall of History (Via Don Giovanni Bosco) can always be visited freely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Just&nbsp;<strong>15 minutes by car<\/strong>&nbsp;from Bibione, this itinerary is a way to&nbsp;<strong>learn about the inland and its history<\/strong>, and enrich your holiday of&nbsp;<strong>cultural contents<\/strong>.
