How to reach Venice from\nBibione <\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Have you decided to treat yourself to a day in\nVenice? Excellent choice: the most romantic city in Italy is 100 kilometers\nfrom Bibione and can be reached by\nvarious means of transport<\/strong>. The train<\/strong>\nis certainly the cheapest<\/strong> way, with\nticket prices under 10 euros: just go to the nearby stations of Latisana or\nPortogruaro and take a direct train \u2013 there is one every hour \u2013 to the Venezia\nSanta Lucia station, which will allow you to go down to the city centre and\nsave time and money in finding a parking space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you prefer to travel by car, you will need to\ntake the A4 motorway from Latisana or Portogruaro, keeping to Venice and\nexiting at the Mestre Est junction. Following the directions for Venice, you\nwill arrive at Piazzale Roma where you can already park. The car is a more\npersonal means of transport, but unfortunately not the cheapest one because you\nhave to consider the cost of parking, tolls and fuel. Therefore, many visitors\nchoose to reach the city also using bus\n+ motorboat<\/strong> or car + motorboat\ncombinations<\/strong>. It is possible to embark directly in Bibione, at the various\ncollection points, or by going to Punta Sabbioni by car, from where a motorboat\ngoes directly to the Lagoon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What to do in Venice in one\nday, with children<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If you have chosen Bibione for its\nchildren-friendly vocation, know that even in Venice you will be able to\norganize a whole series of activities for your children. Before arriving in the\ncity, however, it is good to know that it is a very crowded place, to be\nvisited preferably not in high season and preferring bands and baby carriers to\nthe stroller, given the continuous ups and downs that it involves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among the most popular activities for children,\nwe find the gondola<\/strong> or vaporetto ride<\/strong>. Certainly, they will be\namazed by the knowledge that in Venice people move by boat, on roads made of\nwater! Inevitable then a visit<\/strong> to St. Mark\u2019s Square<\/strong> to see the Basilica<\/strong> and the Doge\u2019s Palace<\/strong> and, why not, take a photo with the famous lions<\/strong>. If your children are already\ngrown-ups and like to visit palaces and museums, the advice is to go up to the Clock Tower<\/strong> where they can see the\noperation of a large astronomical clock<\/strong>\nand its gears live; or move on the Grand Canal for a visit to the Natural History Museum<\/strong>, which houses\nmany fossils including a huge dinosaur\nskeleton<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Peggy\nGuggenheim<\/strong> collection also lends itself to such visits. While the parents\nwill be able to enjoy the works of the museum, the little ones will take part\nin different workshops on contemporary\nart<\/strong>: every Sunday, the museum hosts the Kids Day<\/strong>, perfect for giving vent to their creativity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Place of the enterprises of Casanova, which made\nmany of the most beautiful women of the time capitulate, the Serenissima is the\nideal destination for an out-of-town day\nin the name of love<\/strong>. Let yourself be lulled by the waves of the lagoon and\norganize a city tour on the famous\ngondolas<\/strong>, to admire squares and buildings from another perspective and to\ndedicate some time to your sweetheart, away from the city crowd.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, even on foot it is possible to admire monuments of inestimable beauty<\/strong>. Treat\nyourself to a stroll in St. Mark\u2019s\nSquare<\/strong> to see the beautiful Basilica<\/strong>\nand Doge\u2019s Palace<\/strong>, or walk on the\nmajestic Rialto Bridge<\/strong>.
