It is a well-known fact that smoking<\/strong> is bad for your health<\/strong>, but perhaps not everyone knows that passive smoking<\/strong>, that breathed by\npeople who are close to smokers, can also be debilitating, especially for\nchildren, who could develop chronic\ndiseases<\/strong> with growth. Also quite serious ones, such as lung and breathing\nproblems and even tumours. Moreover, we must not forget that cigarettes<\/strong> are also harmful to the environment<\/strong>, as they are\ncomposed of difficult materials to biodegrade and which, if left on the ground,\ncan pollute it, contributing to an increase in the waste load.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, smoking is a real emergency. An emergency that Bibione has decided to fight (successfully), becoming the first smoke-free beach in Italy<\/strong>. What does smoke-free mean? Literally, \u201cfree from smoke\u201d. Also in 2026, the UN agencies<\/strong> for the environment have awarded the beach of San Michele al Tagliamento \u2013 Bibione with the special Blue Flag award<\/strong>. This award is given each year to the European and extra-European most beautiful and environmentally friendly<\/strong> beaches<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The choice is made according to the analysis<\/strong> of various criteria<\/strong>, which include characteristics such as the\ncleaning of sea and of the surrounding coastline, the characteristics of the\nsand and more technical elements such as the presence of an accurate rescue\nnetwork and first aid, but also the availability of equipment, games and\nactivities for guests, be they young or old.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thanks to its crystal clear sea and the many opportunities that the territory and its coast offer, Bibione<\/strong> has received this year its 35th Blue Flag<\/strong>, along with the Green Flag<\/strong> which \u2013 assigned by paediatricians \u2013 indicates instead the availability of numerous stretches of beach<\/strong> which are \u201cfriends of children\u201d<\/strong>. Not to mention that, for some years now, the city can also boast the European Environmental Certification EMAS<\/strong>, assigned to the beaches that implement the best solutions in favour of the environment. A beach with a wide range of\nservices<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
