From 25th August to 8th September<\/strong>, the 41th edition<\/strong> of the International Music Festival<\/a> will be held in Portogruaro<\/strong> (Ve), which for 2023 will have the title \u201cMultiversi\u201d<\/strong> (=multiverses) intended as a metaphor for the transition from the classical conception of the \u201cuniverses\u201d that we know to elaboration of a plurality of musical and cultural areas<\/strong> that go beyond a predetermined border. The Festival will look above all at those musical \u201cuniverses\u201d that usually least belong to us: the theatrical and scenic dimension<\/strong> (represented by the opera \u201cDon Giovanni\u201d which will open the bill), the level of contemporaneity<\/strong> (for the first time music will be performed newly composed commissioned by the Festival), the exploration of pre-Baroque music<\/strong> (with the ancient instruments of the \u201cArmoniosa\u201d ensemble), the frontier of non-strictly classical music<\/strong> (with concerts dedicated to musicals, film music and the videogame medium), without forgetting the memory of the events that have marked, even tragically, our recent history<\/strong> (60th anniversary of the Vajont disaster).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Very reach will be the billboard<\/strong> of a Festival that celebrates its forty years this year, characterized by over two thousand concerts, hundreds of established artists and many young people who have grown professionally, in the usual combination of concert activities and training opportunities. Even in 2023 some of the great names of today\u2019s concerts, which will enliven the whole territory of Eastern Veneto. There are also many previews of \u201cAspettando il Festival\u201d<\/strong> (=waiting for the festival), with performances that starting from 14th July<\/strong> will touch the most evocative places of Portogruaro and beyond<\/strong>, and the usual \u201cDopo il Festival\u201d<\/strong> (=After the Festival) with 4 evenings between September and October.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The artistic direction<\/strong> has been entrusted also this year to Alessandro Taverna<\/strong>, an internationally renowned pianist and a figure of undoubted cultural depth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The places appointed for the concerts will be the \u201cLuigi Russolo\u201d Municipal Theatre<\/a> but also churches<\/strong>, squares<\/strong>, palaces<\/strong> and villas<\/strong> of the nearby municipalities:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
