Among the many sport activities that Bibione proposes on the beach, in May it’s time for Beach Tennis: come and practice your favourite sport on the seashore on our beach resort!
Here are all the info:
- When: from Friday, 11th to Sunday, 13th May
- What: ITF Beach Tennis Tournament “Bibione Cup”
- Where: at the Beach in front of via Taigete/via Maja
The event is organized by the ASD Beach Tennis Bibione and is included in the 2018 calendar of the beach tennis tournaments by the Italian Tennis Federation, valid for the national ranking. The allowed game categories are:
- Men’s Doubles
- Male double over 50
- Male double cat. A + B (1 ^ + 3.2)
- Female Double
- Mixed Doubles.

All the weekends from 16th June to 26th August there will be a non competitive Beach Tennis tournament for adults and children always on the beach inf front ofVia Taigete / Via Maja!!
The Beach tennis was born in the ‘70es on the beaches of the Italian coasts as “game with rackets” and immediately found ample feedback so that people started to organize competitions. The real beach tennis was born in 1996, when a unique measure is established for the playing fields, for the network and the rules are uniformed everywhere taking those of tennis as basis. Since 2005 there is a National Committee of Beach Tennis, which aims to develop this sport on the national territory and that organizes championships and tournaments at national and international level.
